• Advice to Conference Participants

  • This is different! This is a self-drive conference. All the talks are pre-recorded and you are free to access them at any time after 8.30am on Saturday and listen to them in any order. Log-in, and from the Home Page, just click on the Programme, click on the Session you want, click on the individual lecture and click to start the video. You can expand it by clicking on the double arrow in the top right-hand corner. When you have finished, click on the double arrow again to shrink the video and use the Back button to take you back to the Programme. From the video page you can leave messages for the speakers via their Chat or request a Visio call. You can also call them via their profile page.

Alternatively, if you are more traditional, you can choose to drive in a convoy. If you follow the programme time schedule using the above method you will have the best chance of meeting speakers and other interested participants at their lectures. We have asked speakers to be online at least during their published session times. You can type questions into the Chat box and the speaker should be on hand to answer. You can also have a video chat. Access is by clicking on the Visio button at the top of the video.

Poster presenters are asked to be on-line to answer questions and discuss their posters at least during the morning coffee breaks, so this is probably the best time to visit.

There is a lot in the programme and if you need a break, feel free to go away and come back later or on another day.  Presenters have been asked to check back on the site at intervals after the conference to see if there are any further questions. The conference has been accredited for CME for three months, so you can come back at your leisure.

If you haven’t already done so, we recommend that you log-on to the Conference site before Saturday and create your own password and profile. You can then explore the conference facilities, although the presentations will not be available until Saturday morning. The abstract book can be downloaded from the Programme Page and you can find abstracts by a particular author using the Search facility in Acrobat Reader. Because of GDPR regulations we have not published participants’ e-mail addresses and phone numbers, but you can leave messages for other attendees and contact details become visible if both participants bookmark each other as favourites. I am sure that ESA and ISA members will need no encouragement to chat to each other online!

Our Sponsors are supporting our conference. Please support them by vising their pages and talking to them. Their Partner link is on the home page.

Finally, if you enjoy the conference, please tell you friends and colleagues. Registration will remain open, so they can register and enjoy the full programme with CME recognition for 3 months after the meeting dates.

    Enjoy the new conference experience.
